1. Honey and Brown Sugar Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin.
  2. Mix suji, brown sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Add melted butter, honey, milk, and vanilla extract, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes clean.
  5. Let the cake cool, then drizzle some extra honey on top for a festive touch.

2. Dalia and Honey Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dalia (broken wheat)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts and dried fruits for garnish

Recipe:

  1. Roast the dalia in a little ghee until golden and aromatic.
  2. Add milk and cook the dalia on low heat until it softens and thickens.
  3. Stir in honey and cardamom powder.
  4. Serve warm, garnished with nuts and dried fruits. This pudding is a perfect blend of creamy and crunchy textures!

3. Suji and Brown Sugar Halwa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup ghee
  • A pinch of saffron or cardamom powder
  • Raisins and chopped almonds for topping

Recipe:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast suji until golden and aromatic.
  2. In a separate pan, dissolve brown sugar in water and bring to a boil.
  3. Gradually add the sugar syrup to the roasted suji, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add saffron or cardamom powder for a festive flavour.
  5. Cook until the halwa thickens, then garnish with raisins and almonds.
